First Daylong Christian Music Festival at a Farm in New Jersey Is Sponsored by a Local Couple and 50-Member Ecumenical Coalition

Flemington, N.J. (July 13, 2005) - A Hunterdon County, N.J., couple and an ecumenical coalition of more than 50 churches from the Hunterdon/Somerset County area are co-sponsoring the first Christian music festival to be held on a farm in New Jersey. Details of the music festival, Revelation Generation, were made public today during a press conference at Revelation Farms in Frenchtown, the location of the event that takes place Aug. 13.

With its daylong lineup of some of the most popular and emerging Christian bands in the music industry, Revelation Generation may become known as the summer of 2005's most- talked about music event.

"The level of talent among the music artists performing at Revelation Generation illustrates the event's mission to impact young people's lives through the ministry of music and sends a message of hope for their future."
-- Kim Grom, co-founder and sponsor
Revelation Generation

The sponsors of the first-time Christian music event are the owners of Revelation Farms, Robert and Kim Grom, husband and wife who have dedicated their 100-plus acre horse farm to youth events and to raising money for youth-oriented charities. All proceeds from Revelation Generation will be donated to Young Life, a non-profit organization based in Milford, N.J., committed to improving the lives of children and preparing them for the future.

The Groms have assembled an exciting lineup of bands that resonate with people of all ages, especially the youth and young adult markets. Further Seems Forever, Paul Colman, BarlowGirl, Katinas, Skillet and Stellar Kart are among the music artists performing at Revelation Generation.

During the press conference, Kim Grom and the Groms' partners in this music festival, an ecumenical coalition of more than 50 churches from the Hunterdon/Somerset County area, shared their inspiration behind the music festival. They have created a venue that not only entertains young people with great music, but an event that reaches youth with a message of hope and educates them on the dangers of drugs and the risks of premarital sex.

Other representatives from the Revelation Generation coalition introduced during the press conference included Glenn Duncan, director, Hunterdon Drug Awareness Program; Paul Cucco, Washington Crossing United Methodist Church and committee chair, West Jersey Young Life; and members of the Revelation Generation steering committee: Tom Vicari, technology consultant and chairman of the sound and stage committee; George Bachelder, Shepherd of the Valley Church, and prayer committee co-chairman; and Tami Keegan, tickets' committee chairwoman and promotions assistant.

Day of Music, Food, Fun, Hope and Reflection

To date, 30 vendors ranging from food and beverage concession stands to booksellers and colleges are participating in the event. In addition, special guests such as sports figures and performers promoting an anti-drug theme will share the stage.

Concertgoers can play volleyball on a sand-filled court, meditate, share a conversation in a reflection tent, dine on some country fare at picnic/concession areas, and listen to music until the sun sets and the moonlight falls.

Tickets to the concert are $17.50 and under, $20 at the door and are available through www.itickets.com
